PayPal Fees Go Up, Features Go Down

PayPal has increased the cost of chargebacks from $10 to $20.  For refunds, PayPal will refund the 2.99% but will KEEP the 30 cent transaction fee.  This is a mandatory non negotiable change in your policy, effective August 2010.

American Express rates for PayPal Website Payments Pro and Virtual Terminal Merchants will jump from a variable between 2.2% to 2.9% to an astronomical 3.5%.  This is a mandatory non negotiable change in your policy, effective October 2010.

The PayPal plugin, which was a tool that helped make debit and credit card purchases more convenient and safer, is not being discontinued by PayPal.   As a customer, you will permanently lose the ability to use this feature effective September 2010.
